OOTD: He said to "be cool" but, I'm already coolest

Lets face it, only cool kids wear converse, right? Well I like to think I'm cool, I know I'm more on the nerd side but we can pretend! When I was contacted by Cloggs footwear  if I'd like to feature some converse I said "hell yes" I love converse! I have a trusty pair of the All Star Hi ones in a beautiful coral colour, I've had them several years so they have that rock n roll worn effect! This amazing pair that I am wearing in the post are the summer peppermint edition, they aren't as bright as the normal peppermint or as I like to call them "tiffany green" and instead of having a black trim and logo, it's mint green. As this pair was squeaky clean out of the box, (and it was freezing cold) I thought I would wear them styled in a more casual smart outfit, rather then my usual cut off shorts and boyfriend tee. This look would be a great weekend look to go shopping in or even to head into the office!

In the Style Lauren Pope high summer event!

A few weeks ago I was invited to the In the Style Lauren Pope event in London and I was VERY excited. I booked the day off work and caught the 8.30 train down to London from Hull. The event was at a beautiful hotel just off Oxford Street. When you entered the roof terrace you was greeted by an amazing exotic fruit bar, the colours were unbelievable!

Lauren looked absolutely amazing in the two piece from her range, and to top it off she was such a lovely person! Lauren had worked on the whole collection right from the start, its great to know that its not just a name to a collection!

There were many pieces I loved in the collection, including an amazing pink blazer and short set, but i did love this white two pice, its so elegant and chic and I am loving white this summer!

Another great part of the day was getting to meet all the lovely bloggers there especially these three, so make sure to check these beautiful ladies out!

It was such an amazing event, and organised really well. I am really grateful to have been invited all because of my little blog.
Have you checked out the lauren Pope In the Style collection yet?

With a fire for every experience and an obsession for freedom

A month or so ago I got talking to the girls over at Wonderland Clothing a new online boutique that offers the most beautiful pieces of clothing. Its ran by two beautiful girls starting up on a new adventure ( they are currently having a MEGA sale in time for new stock!). The items they sell aren't like all the other online stores, which are often just clones of one another.  So when I was asked if I'd like to receive this poncho I jumped at the chance! Its perfect for me, the bohemian style is right up my street. I'd been hoping to get to the beach to do this post but the weather has been awful lately. However going out onto the reserve didn't fail! I felt like I was out on some ranch, and got totally
 lost in the moment!

The rings and necklace I am wearing are from my jewellery store native wolf and I have so much new stock listed, and lots more waiting to be added, so remember to check it out :)
Let me know what you think of the post, and how you have been spending your weekend with the hit and miss weather?
PS sorry for the same-ish poses, I have a really bad shoulder!

DIY Rustic painted jam jars

I love jars! Even when I was at Uni one of my pieces for my graphic design work, was all created using  jars (which may I add got published in Japan, go me! ) Todays DIY is super easy! All you will need is some acrylic paint, a nail file, mode podge and some jars with writing on. I got my jars and paint from the range, they had an amazing variety of  colours in the acrylic paint in the craft section,
not the art part.

Apply your first coat of acrylic paint to your jar, allow this to dry fully before applying another coat, it took me 3 coats to fully cover my jar. If you get impatient, like I did, and paint your next coat whilst the one underneath is still tacky you may end up taking some paint off. If this happens let it dry and pick away any thick pieces around were your patch has happened so that its smoother for you to
fill it in with more paint

Once your jar is dry using your nail file, file away at the writing and neck of the jar, creating a rustic look. Once you have done this, coat with mod podge to seal your jar, this means you can wipe it clean but don't submerge it in water!

Thats it, all done! Its a great way to get the perfect colour accessory to match your decor!
Dont forget to tweet me any photos if you do any of my DIY's
